Financial Literacy

For the past four days my class has been doing an activity. Its called Financial Literacy. Firstly our teacher gave us a sheet it said on it Status:  Married/ Relation Ship/ Single. We got to pick what we were in 45 years time Then it said Children  there were four boxes in each it said. Boy/Girl Name:And Age you got to pick if you wanted no kids up to max four kids. on the third row it said vehicles you got to pick which vehicle you wanted and if it was petrol or diesel you can pick up to four cars on the last row it says Pets. You got to pick if you wanted a dog or a cat you could have four pets. After that the next day our teacher gave us a sheet and she said we will fill out this Sheet each day and to us each day is counted as a Week.  And there are 5 things it says. Income, Tax, Mortgage, Groceries, And Fortune. We get a card that says how much groceries we have it will have a list of numbers for example. Ham: 13.98 Cheese. 1.99 and a whole lot of other things you will add them together and can use a calculator to find out how much they are. Then you can get a fortune card. A fortune card 10% of the time you earn money 90% of the time you loose money it can say things like You need to pay for some new Braces Pay 1000$ or like you forgot your lunch at home pay 8.60$ or something.  And we had to fill out all of those things you could also either be a wage earner or a salary earner. For the past few days we have been filling it out alot of people are in debt but im not. But today this made MANY people poor because on this day yea we had to do the usual Income, Tax, Mortgage, Groceries, And Fortune but once you filled out those things it says Life insurance, Sky TV, Vehicles, Phone/ Internet, Electricity. We had to get more little cards that said a certain amount of money and it made people in debt by nearly 1000$! The cards were saying how much everything was. And that was the fourth week the fourth week means monthly how much things you have to pay monthly, Lucky me I wasn't in dept by nearly 1000$ or something I had 1251.58$ Spare!! This activity was really fun to do and I enjoyed it.
