Hi there bloggers. This is my story we had to write. A couple weeks ago we had to watch three short films about these weird different things. The first one was about a video game thing. The second one was about this giant dinosaur. And the last one was about these two men walking up a mountain with a golden statue. I did the last one aka the one where the two men were walking up the giant mountain. This activity was really one because we watched the video of the one we were going to do then wrote about it. Heads Or Tails Probability DLO

WALT: Use fractions and percentages to describe probability.

For this activity we had to do a DLO with a partner to see test the probability of a coin landing on heads or tails.
We then had to work out what the probability would be as a percentage and as a fraction for it. 

This is my experiment and it explains a bit of what we done and what I got.

What's in the news this week?

This is the Australian bush fires that are causing damage to the glaciers and snow in the South Island, and more. My opinion about this is that I feel sad that the snow and glaciers may melt 30 percent more than it used to and how Australian bush fires haven't stopped yet. They are still going and causing more damage to us people and our earth.  They are also making the snow turn a light-ish brown. A question I have is how do you feel about this? And what would you do if you lived in Australia?

Easter eggs in a basket

For this activity we had to solve the maths questions then we had to count how many equations are higher than 25 or 25, then when we counted them we had to write how many eggs would go into the basket! I put 12!

Easter Poem!

WALT: Write and Easter poem!
for this activity we had to write a poem about Easter! I chose to write a cinquain poem about Easter!

Waiho bridge gets washed away

For this activity we had to write a recount about the Waiho bridge and how it got washed away. We had to add a title the 5ws the 1h connective language , punctuation , and etc! you didnt have to do all of them but they would help make a good recount , this was a fun activity

Wow did you hear?: “THE WAIHO BRIDGE IS GETTING WASHED AWAY!”

“What?” Yes it's true the waiho bridge has been washed away!!

How long did it take to wash away and how much years has the waiho bridge been their?

Where~ Firstly on the 26th of march 2019 Waiho rivers bridge gets washed away because of the dreadful internal weather This terrible event happened at the Waiho bridge south of Franz Joseph Glacier.

Who~ some people that lived nearby or tourists that were visiting glaciers were involved in this awful situation.

How~ This happened because the strong force of the water washed the Waiho bridge away with only a little part of it left!

When~ It happened yesterday early evening of the 26th . 3 . 2019.

Why~ If your wondering “ Why did it happen? “ well it firstly it happened because the river was in flood and it was in flood because it had been raining a lot!

Wow imagine if you were on that bridge when it was about to collapse would you think it would be intimidating or not!? I would think it's intimidating!!

Since this terrible event happened some schools have been closed down and camping grounds have been evacuated. Strong winds are battering the region with gusts up to 120km. Some parts of West land face up to 800 millimetres of rain omg that's a lot of rain wow imagine that much rain falling straight down on you!

The town of Haast is experiencing a one-in-100-year flood wow imagine that! Have you seen the video? Well my whole class did firstly , the bridge was slowly collapsing and then secondly when u waited a couple seconds , boom

What~ well firstly as i said the bridge got washed away because of the strong water!

it was gone it only left a little part of the bridge it would be scary to be on that bridge.

I would hate to be on that bridge! Just imagine in your head “ How scary would it be to watch the bridge collapse or to be on that bridge “

“Are you scared yet?” “no?” “hm well let me tell you some more facts about this awful terrible event!”

“Wait i just remembered!” “today my dad is going to Franz Joseph!” “he's going in a digger since the waiho bridge got washed away” “ANYWAYS!!” “back to the real facts…”

A state of emergency has been declared in Westland as torrential rain brings flooding to the region. The main road from just south of the town all the way north to Hokitika is closed because of the floods and how the waiho river gets washed away!
