Story

Hi there bloggers. This is my story we had to write. A couple weeks ago we had to watch three short films about these weird different things. The first one was about a video game thing. The second one was about this giant dinosaur. And the last one was about these two men walking up a mountain with a golden statue. I did the last one aka the one where the two men were walking up the giant mountain. This activity was really one because we watched the video of the one we were going to do then wrote about it. Maurice Gee Book Cover

 Hello Bloggers! This is my Book Cover I made for the book: "The world around the corner" For this activity we had to make a Book cover for our novel were reading this week. We have 5 weeks to do certain tasks and this is one of my tasks. I really enjoyed this activity especially making the magic glasses. This activity was fun and easy to do. I just made it on a google drawing and inserted heaps of things for how I imagine another book cover for the book to look. Of course I cant make it look all fancy and beautiful like how all authors make they're books look but this is how I made mine. I hope you like it.

Ancient Egypt

This week our teacher told us to work in groups then she gave us all different kinds of puzzled activities to find out our theme for the week. Our theme is Ancient Egypt. The first activity we had to do was make 3 puzzles, they were kind of easy, the easiest was the hippo and the hardest was the boat. Our next activity was to unscramble words the words we had were: Temple, Africa,  Desert, Archaeologist, snake, ancient, camel and arid. Then once we done that do a word search and find the words we unscrambled. After we then did lots of maths questions and got a letter for each maths question we got right, Then we unscrambled the word and got Ancient Egypt.
 

Moari god art

This is what I have in my Maori  god artwork.  This artwork was complicated at first but since we have been doing it for awhile now its gotten easier. Doing this artwork is fun and exciting but it gets messy with all the paint!! Over these last few days/ weeks mamaku 1 has been planning on doing a Maori  god artwork that our relieving teacher came up with. Now mamaku 1 has almost finished their artwork. 

Mawhera Movie screening.

ABOUT: 2019. Welcome, This year my class has entered in the Mawhera Movie screening competition. We did our theme about mamaku highlights. Last week we went to the regent theatre to see the other videos that were the top picks at schools. Part of other schools went but our whole school went.  The videos  were all so cool but I have a favourite and its the first one we watched. It was about a robber and cops catching the robber. 

QUESTIONS: I think we did everything well except for how loud we were. Next time we could try to be louder so we can hear each other.  My favourite entry was the robber one at the start because they just did it so well and the techniques they used we're the slow motion.

Kyah’s Managing Self Goal.

I am currently working at Relational. To become Extended Abstract I need to get a pencil sharpener and a glue stick, To do this I will ask my mum if she can take me to the warehouse to get the correct stationary I need.

Extended Abstract	I have a fully charged chromebook in my tote tray ready for my days learning to begin. I have my working headphones in my tote tray to assist with my learning. I have all my pens/pencils etc ready to help my learning.  and I am able to identify when I need to replace any stationery that is broken or not working and replace it quickly so it doesn’t impact on my successful learning.
Relational	I have a fully charged chromebook in my tote tray ready for my days learning to begin. I have my working headphones in my tote tray to assist with my learning. I have all my pens/pencils etc ready to help my learning.
Multistructural	I have a fully charged chromebook in my tote tray ready for my days learning to begin.
Unistructural	I have my fully charged chrome book in my bag.
Prestructural	I have my uncharged chromebook in my bag.

The Giraffe and the Little Girl

Walt: Write descriptive sentences.
For this activity we had to look at a picture and then write a story about it that uses description. Have any of you ever seen a little girl walking a little giraffe before? Well I haven't! In my story I imagined  this to happen. This is sort of a sad story and a happy story so here's my story. I hope you like it!

I think I need to use different types of adjectives next time like adjectives to describe texture, size and shape not just colour.

Fraction think board

WALT: Read, write and show fractions in different ways

For this activity we had to fill in a maths sheet and pick a fraction. I picked 4/5. We had to write down the decimal, fraction of a shape, equivalent fractions, the fraction in words and show it on a number line. So here's mine! 

This was a fun activity to do because we got to work it out although I did have some help.My next learning step is to do it again by myself with no help.

Ivan Word Art

We had to go on word art and choose some words about  the one and only Ivan. We had to do maximum 15 words. So these are my words that describe Ivan. I hope you like this activity we did.  I know I enjoyed it!

I found this activity interesting and fun but what I liked about it was solving it out in heaps of ways!
