For this activity we had to write a recount about the Waiho bridge and how it got washed away. We had to add a title the 5ws the 1h connective language , punctuation , and etc! you didnt have to do all of them but they would help make a good recount , this was a fun activity

“What?” Yes it's true the waiho bridge has been washed away!!
How long did it take to wash away and how much years has the waiho bridge been their?
Where~ Firstly on the 26th of march 2019 Waiho rivers bridge gets washed away because of the dreadful internal weather This terrible event happened at the Waiho bridge south of Franz Joseph Glacier.
Who~ some people that lived nearby or tourists that were visiting glaciers were involved in this awful situation.
How~ This happened because the strong force of the water washed the Waiho bridge away with only a little part of it left!
When~ It happened yesterday early evening of the 26th . 3 . 2019.
Why~ If your wondering “ Why did it happen? “ well it firstly it happened because the river was in flood and it was in flood because it had been raining a lot!
Wow imagine if you were on that bridge when it was about to collapse would you think it would be intimidating or not!? I would think it's intimidating!!
Since this terrible event happened some schools have been closed down and camping grounds have been evacuated. Strong winds are battering the region with gusts up to 120km. Some parts of West land face up to 800 millimetres of rain omg that's a lot of rain wow imagine that much rain falling straight down on you!
The town of Haast is experiencing a one-in-100-year flood wow imagine that! Have you seen the video? Well my whole class did firstly , the bridge was slowly collapsing and then secondly when u waited a couple seconds , boom
What~ well firstly as i said the bridge got washed away because of the strong water!
it was gone it only left a little part of the bridge it would be scary to be on that bridge.
I would hate to be on that bridge! Just imagine in your head “ How scary would it be to watch the bridge collapse or to be on that bridge “

A state of emergency has been declared in Westland as torrential rain brings flooding to the region. The main road from just south of the town all the way north to Hokitika is closed because of the floods and how the waiho river gets washed away!
