 Last week my class had to do a slide about foods we like and foods we dislike. We did this for Maori language week. We had to write it all in Maori. Firstly we had to write at least 4 foods we like and at least 4 foods we dislike. We used the Maori dictionary to help us find out the Maori word for the foods we like. Here is mine.

Book Week

For our school once a year we have a whole week based around book week.

On Monday we got told that there was 5 golden tickets hidden around the whole school we had a week to find all five. If you found one you went to the library and got a prize. We also found out that if you issued a book you could take a guess to try guess how many lollies were in the jar. Whoever had the exact amount or whoever the closest was would win the whole jar. We were also told we had to design our door. My class chose Peter Pan.

On Tuesday if we went to the Library you could get free books and take as many as you want some kids took boxes full of books they were all free they were just giving out lots of books.

On Wednesday it was wacky Wednesday we had to dress up wacky and be in our house colours we also had to plan a wacky walk/ dance based on our colour. Im green so we did paint the town green. We won the trophy for that day. Also on Wednesday you could go to the library and make puppets for the puppet show on Thursday.  

On Thursday was the day of the puppet show. Anyone in the school could go to the library to watch it. The puppets were made out of paper and they were shaped like crayons  with a Popsicle stick on the back.  The puppet show was about the day the crayons quit. It was really funny to watch because the other kids had to hold up the colours of the puppets talking and shake them around. Also on that day was the day the doors got judged. We couldn't find out until Friday tho.

On Friday it was book character day. You had to dress up as a book character who you wanted to be. I dressed up as Tweedle Dee from Alice in wonderland.  We had to meet in the hall at 9:00am And someone held up a piece of paper for each class that had to come up. If your class was selected to come up you had to walk up to the stage and say which book character you are. The teachers also chose some kids to give books depending on how there outfit looks. It was really fun to see all the different outfits and choices for how they would look. Also in the hall the winners of the door displays were announced. Sadly our class came second place but it was still really fun! Here are some photos of our door and me and my friends book character outfits. 

The is me and my friends dressed up as Alice in wonderland characters. The first girl is dressed up as the Queen of Hearts. The second one is dressed up as Alice in wonderland and the other two is me and my other friend dressed up as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. 

These are all photos of our door. They were combined with two classes mine and the class next door. All of this was made by the kids the teachers helped with some of it tho. 

Dick Frizzell

 This is my Dick Frizzell slide me and my friend Lily made. We had to make a google slide saying some things about the Artist Dick Frizzell. My whole class made an artwork based on his artwork: Kiwiana. Whats your favourite type of art? Do you like to draw?

Story

Hi there bloggers. This is my story we had to write. A couple weeks ago we had to watch three short films about these weird different things. The first one was about a video game thing. The second one was about this giant dinosaur. And the last one was about these two men walking up a mountain with a golden statue. I did the last one aka the one where the two men were walking up the giant mountain. This activity was really one because we watched the video of the one we were going to do then wrote about it. Maurice Gee Book Cover

 Hello Bloggers! This is my Book Cover I made for the book: "The world around the corner" For this activity we had to make a Book cover for our novel were reading this week. We have 5 weeks to do certain tasks and this is one of my tasks. I really enjoyed this activity especially making the magic glasses. This activity was fun and easy to do. I just made it on a google drawing and inserted heaps of things for how I imagine another book cover for the book to look. Of course I cant make it look all fancy and beautiful like how all authors make they're books look but this is how I made mine. I hope you like it.

My avatar painting

Hello!~ And welcome to my blog! Recently T2 has been making paintings of our avatars we chose on a app called "Face your Manga" Its an app where you can create yourself and heaps of other characters and stuff. Here is mine its not finished yet I still need to do the background and fix up some of the face aka the eyebrows and stuff. What we had to do is create a character that looked pretty similar to us and we got that printed out and we enlarged it onto a A3 piece of paper. This activity was really fun and didnt take me as long as I thought that it would.

For this activity we had to choose some Christmas toys that were popular over the years. My dog Bella

 This is all about my dog Bella

Her breed is a american staffy.She is 10 1/2 years old. She is medium sized. Bella is a guard dog. Shes very friendly and sweet. She may look "Scary" If you see her at my gate barking but when you get to know her she is very kind and cute. When her ears are down that means that shes not protective. But when her ears are up it means shes going protective and tries to protect us and bark at someone whos coming by. Bella does attack other dogs if they come to close or do something to annoy her. She is a very good dog and I love her very much.

Prep

 This year for prep I was in a group with Gabby, Jasmine, Me, Nova and trinity

We made clay charms and glitter jars

We weren't so successful at first but after awhile at big market we were very successful!

 Our clay charms and glitter jars turned out way better than they first were.

I was CEO, Gabby was secretary, Jasmine was quality control, Nova was treasurer and trinity was worker.

Prep was really fun this year and I had a great time I cant wait for next years prep

I couldn't get many photos of our stuff but heres two!

We do prep for 2 weeks on our first week mini market was on Thursday. 

The fox that just wanted a friend

For this activity we had to create a slide/ Google drawing to make sort of a comic about a fox and then you get to choose the rest. I made mine about some people arent really how they seem to be.
